This is not my arm. It’s what my arm would look like if how much I’ve been whining about it were appropriate to how much it actually hurts. (Click me you fool.)

It’s been pretty quiet around The King Teen International Industries HQ lately because my arm’s been hurting. I injured it while pulling a family out of their burning minivan on I-85*.

But I will not let that stop me from doing this:

I will emerge, Willis Reed style, for the three of you who get that reference, and do everything I can to make your Saturday early evening fire, sick, groovy, the bees knees. It’s an early show so you can think of it as pregaming for your after-dark Saturday night plans if you want.

I love playing with that Chicken Ranch Road Show bunch. A quorum of them played and sang on the song Stupid on my True Stories of Time Travel EP, and here’s Patsy and Isabel singing harmonies with me at Rubies on Five Points in Durham a couple months ago.

* A reminder that I lie in this newsletter, though not about things like where and when I’m playing. There was no burning car. I have tendinitis, probably from too much typing.

Frog Hollow Outdoors is an outfitter offering paddling trips, rentals, instruction, and guided adventures across the Triangle, and they put on a monthly show in their backyard over the summer, along with the great music site Blank Tapes. I’ve had to miss the first two but I’ve heard they’ve been a lot of fun. You can buy a cheap ticket and get more info by clicking on the flyer.

If you know Durham Frog Hollow Outdoors is right behind the Cocoa Cinnamon on Hillsborough Road. That’s also where it is if you don’t know Durham.

That’s enough typing for now! More next week. Meantime I’ll see you Saturday. Thanks for reading and listening and coming on out.

Your friend,

The King Teen
